I am an EFL instructor currently based in southern Kushu, Japan, where I also team-teach CLIL courses to freshmen at a small, English-medium, liberal arts college. You can find links to my work-related sites on my about.me page. |
I moved from Canada to Japan in 1995 on what I thought would be a short stint after graduate school. Including work in Costa Rica and Canada, I now have about 25 years of teaching experience in EFL/ESL (English as a second/foreign language). My experience teaching spans many levels, ages, and institution types, but most of my professional life has been lived out in universities. My background is in library science, but my work has ended up centering around TEFL. I guess I gravitated to what I loved - travel, teaching, and languages. My interests include CALL (computer assisted language learning), educational technology, intercultural communication, and learner strategies.
